Seattle startup websites are booming

Tech Flash – a news provider dedicated to covering the tech industry in the Pacific Northwest – recently released its Seattle Startup Index for January, which ranks the web traffic garnered by startups of all business types in the city. While Tech Flash officials add the disclaimer to the list that web traffic data is not necessarily indicative of a small business’ success, it is likely still good news for entrepreneurs who have recently undergone business formation that their sites are being viewed.
The Cheezburger Network was atop of the startup business site traffic list, with almost 7 million web hits in January. The site also reportedly added eight new startup companies to their list in the month of January, indicating that the city gained some new businesses and these businesses gained web sites last month.
Developing a web site is likely a good step for businesses as a survey from Nielsen and Webvisible shows that 82 percent of consumers use search engines when trying to find products and services.
Of course, the first step to business formation is proper incorporation. Entrepreneurs can find inexpensive incorporation services online.
