Provider of Web-Based HR Raises Capital

A startup company that provides web-based tools for simplifying hiring of new employees has raised $100,000 of seed money. The Resumator has a system for helping businesses recruit, track, and select prospective employees. The new funding follows the company’s launch from a tech incubator environment, which has supplied the funding.
The company, passed in Pittsburgh, puts an end to the hassle of having a single individual manage the details related to the hiring process. Such an individual has traditionally been handed the task of recruiting as well as collecting applicant data.
The Resumator provides an easier means for advertising open positions via social networks and permits creation of branded employment application websites. The program also allows users to track applicants and compare them. All of the information submitted on resumes is compiled in a single secure location. Searches are permitted to locate selected text criteria in every resume. Filtering tools essentially turn the resumes into a searchable database.
Clients of the Resumator pay a monthly fee that’s based upon the number of jobs managed concurrently by the system. Large companies can manage an infinite number of job openings at any one time. A low cost and the web-based tools of the Resumator distinguish the service from competitors.
The company intends to release new features to its service and deeper connections to social networks in 2011. The Resumator reports that it has over 200 customers at the end of 2010. Official start of the corporation was January 2009.
