No More EINs for 2016

As usual, the IRS has announced a “planned outage” of their EIN online system. This service will be unavailable from approximately 6 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, until approximately 7 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, due to planned maintenance.

It is also expected that the first week of January, their systems will not be able to deal with the accumulated demand, extending the outage to probably the end of the first week of the year.
