Corporate Annual Reports Due in Mississippi

The Secretary of State announced that Corporate Annual Reports can be filed starting January 1st of each calendar year.  This year, corporate Annual Reports must be filed on or before April 15, 2010. 

The Secretary of State will receive thousands of Annual Reports per day during the month of April.  It will take several months to file all of these reports and have the updated information for the corporations appear on the website. This office encourage corporations to file their Annual Report now.

Users may utilize the state online filing system, which presents some benefits compared with a paper filing. For instance, the online option will make Annual Reports available immediately after filing. It means that  all the information for the corporation will be current within 24 hours of the filing.  In addition, business owners will save money, not only by avoiding the stamp but by paying a little bit less: the cost of an Annual Report filed online will be only $23.25 versus $25.00 through the mail.

To file corporate Annual Reports online go to the Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.ms.gov. Users of this system will need the business ID number of the corporation (available on the website) and a major credit card.
